Team Lead (Veterinary vaccine R&D)

10 years of Experience in veterinary vaccine Research and development
Mumbai
  PhD in life sciences or M.V.Sc. in relevant discipline

Selected person will be leading the veterinary vaccine development programs. He/ She is responsible for giving guidance to the team and perform the lab activity along with the team. He/ She need to supervise and monitor the team’s progress. He/ She is responsible for updating the team’s progress to reporting manager periodically. The selected person should have a comprehensive knowledge on veterinary vaccine development and evaluation. He/ She should also be aware of the related regulatory compliance. PhD in life sciences or M V Sc in Microbiology / Virology / Biotechnology / immunology / Bacteriology with relevant experience are the minimum required educational qualification.

The candidate is expected to have below mentioned skills.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Minimum of 10 years of Experience in veterinary vaccine Research and development
  • Experience in working on Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccine and Rabies Vaccine, in pilot scale is desirable
  • Knowledge on the in-vitro and in-vivo QC testing and evaluation procedures for veterinary vaccines
  • Knowledge on the regulatory pathway and regulatory compliance requirements for veterinary vaccines

Hands-on experience in mammalian cell bank preparation and characterization

The selected person will be a part of the group which is working on viral vaccine developments. He/ She is responsible for making cell banks, characterization of cell banks, ‘revival, maintenance and supply of cell lines’ for all R&D activities and the related documentation works. Educational qualification: Post-graduation in life sciences with relevant experience.

  • Should have strong aseptic handling techniques
  • Hands-on experience in mammalian cell bank preparation and characterization
  • Revival and maintenance of cell lines
  • Experience in GMP manufacturing of virus vaccines is an added advantage
  • Knowledge on mammalian cell identity and purity testing is an added advantage
  • Experience in working with cell factories and roller cultures
